WSU is creating new insights and opportunity through collaborative research, development, and technology licensing nation-wide

National researchTo tackle the big problems facing our country, universities must collaborate if they hope to be successful.

WSU partners with institutions and organizations nationwide to promote knowledge exchange, innovative research and best practices.

Through these partnerships and our nationally-recognized faculty and academic programs, we promote growth and advancement for Washington State, the country and the world.

The WSU Research Foundation, in close coordination with WSU’s Office of Intellectual Property Administration, licenses WSU technologies nationwide for implementation in the market place. We are looked to as leaders in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and most recently energy. WSU's Energy Program has become the sole clearing house nationally for all inquiries regarding the Department of Energy’s stimulus funding opportunities. Emblematic of our efforts at collaboration is the Alliance for Aviation Fuels a consortium of universities, national labs, and private corporations led by WSU that seeks to develop next-generation aviation biofuels. Through this partnership we hope to achieve collaboratively what we would be unable to achieve alone. WSU’s innovative Center for Distance and Professional Education allows students worldwide to enroll in online learning courses. Whether earning a certificate in volunteer management or a Master’s in Business Administration, we make it possible for placebound students to secure the knowledge and skills necessary for continued success.
